Liverpool have confirmed the date for their open-top bus victory parade after they were crowned Premier League champions.

The Reds have exceeded expectations in Arne Slot’s first season at Anfield and needed just a point against Tottenham on Sunday to clinch the title.

Liverpool put on a show for their adoring fans and won the title in style, thumping Spurs 5-1 at Anfield.

Slot’s side have occupied top-spot for most of the season, brushing off an early challenge from Chelsea and then proving too strong for Arsenal in the second-half of the campaign.

There were huge questions marks over Liverpool ahead of the season given the emotional departure of legendary manager Jurgen Klopp, who won both the Premier League and Champions League during his spell at the club.

Concerns were even raised about Slot, the former Feyenoord manager who Liverpool only turned to after being rejected by their former player Xabi Alonso.

But Slot has guided Liverpool to their 20th English league title – matching Manchester United’s all-time record – with just two defeats from 34 league games.

Liverpool could yet surpass 90 points in the Premier League, a feat achieved only 14 times in history.

When is Liverpool’s trophy parade? Date and route

Thousands of fans will be keen to celebrate the team’s success during a Premier League trophy parade in the city.

When Liverpool won the Champions League to become European champions in 2019, around 750,000 fans came out to honour the team.

But supporters were deprived that chance the last time Liverpool won the Premier League in 2022 due to Covid.

This time around, a parade will be held on Monday, 26 May – 24 hours after Liverpool lift the trophy at Anfield.

The spectacle will take place on a Bank Holiday Monday and is expected to begin at 2.30pm and last between three to five hours.

The 15km route will be the same one used in 2019 and 2022, beginning at Allerton Maze in the south of the city and finishing at Blundell Street.

When will Liverpool lift the Premier League trophy?

Despite taking an unassailable lead in the title race on Sunday, Liverpool will have a little wait before getting their hands on the Premier League trophy.

Tradition dictates that the trophy presentation will be held on the final weekend of the season.

Liverpool face Crystal Palace at Anfield on the final day of the season (Sunday 26 May) so that is when Reds captain Virgil van Dijk and manager Slot will lift the trophy.

The trophy presentation is always an iconic moment, which will be replayed and remembered by joyous Liverpool fans for years to come.
